Kerala to host own Kumbh Mela from January 18
Juna Akhara, the country’s largest monastic order and one of the principal bodies responsible for organising the Kumbh Melas, will oversee the festival in Kerala.

On the lines of the four major Kumbh Melas—in Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik and Prayagraj— the Maha Maagham Kumbh Mela will be held from January 18 to February 3, 2026 on the banks of the Bharathapuzha in front of the Thirunavaya Nava Mukunda Temple in Malappuram.

Kumbh In Kerala: केरल में पहली बार उत्तर भारत की तरह कुंभ मेले जैसा आयोजन होगा. जूना अखाड़ा 18 जनवरी से 3 फरवरी 2026 तक मलप्पुरम के भरतपुझा नदी किनारे तिरुनवाया नव मुकुंद मंदिर के सामने इसे आयोजित करेगा. यह आयोजन केरल की प्राचीन ‘महा मखम’ परंपरा को फिर से जीवित करेगा.
